Welcome Back Dinner on September 11th

Last September our Rally Day weekend featured a Welcome Back Dinner at which we had a wonderful slide show of summer fun. We'd like to do that again this year and have even more people contribute. So whether you took or will take an exotic trip, a quiet beach vacation, or a life-savoring “stay-cation”—send pictures to Suzanne via email (stendahl@comcast.net). And plan to join us that Saturday evening. [Welcome Back Dinner Form - WORD or PDF ]

Annual Stewardship Dinner

Saturday, November 6th beginning at 5:30 pm

The Gifts of Giving: Fruits of Faith, Seeds of Hope, Flowers of Love
Special Guest Speaker: LSS President Heather Feltman
Master of Ceremony: Michael Murphy

Fruits of Faith: We want our faith to bear fruit; we want it to help others. To be faithful involves making the world a better place, to help others, to help our community. The bible speaks of bearing good fruit by our works by our generosity.

Seed of Hope: Our giving is an expression that in a world where people often are fearful or afraid to risk or despairing about the future we trust in God’s faithfulness and we invest in God’s future for our children and the generations to come.

Flowers of Love: That giving is an expression of love the desire to show and express our gratitude and devotion to the God who has created and redeemed us and so our giving does not have to be just a practical work but is like the flowers that a child brings a parent or a lover brings to the beloved.
Saint Paul says that there are many gifts but the highest gifts are faith, hope and love “and the greatest of these is love.”

Renovation Work

LCN on Shutterfly

Our Construction Project Proceeding! Work is almost done!! Our treasurer asks that those intending to contribute consider doing so, if possible, sooner rather than later. The more we have inhand, the less we will need to borrow and pay interest on.

Renovation Project Updates

Sunday, February 14th

At noon on Sunday, February 14th we inaugurated and consecrated the actual construction phase of our project to repair, reshape, and improve this old building for our mission. The rite of groundbreaking took place outside at the place where a new entrance to the church will be created to give access and welcome to refashioned office, fellowship and education spaces. This is an exciting time for us as a congregation, and a witness to the vitality and faith that the Holy Spirit works in our midst. Let us therefore rejoice, give thanks, and pray to be kept faithful to our faithful God.
